Don't Buy Products That Endanger Animals!!!

Elephants

Ten years ago there were over 1.5 million elephants on the earth. It's said that today there are 450,000 - 700,000 African elephants and between 35,000 - 40,000 wild Asian elephants. Ivory is still being taken from elephants killed by poachers. Americans purchase 30% of that ivory.

Dolphins

Over 6.5 million dolphins have been killed by tunafishermen. Fishing nets can reach ¾ mile in length and whatever gets trapped in them dies. Check the label of your tuna to make sure it is "dolphin-safe."

Our Ways To Help...

My brothers and I have been talking a lot about what can be done to help the planet. I just wanted to tell everyone the things my family has been doing since we started the website.

1. We have changed several light bulbs to CFL or LED Light bulbs.

2. We are using several Green Works Products by Clorox

Green Works™ Natural Cleaning Wipes

Green Works™ Natural Dishwashing Liquid

Green Works™ Natural All-Purpose Cleaner

Green Works™ Natural Glass Cleaner

3. We are using Marcal Recycled Paper Towels and Napkin

4. Ziploc Evolve Food Storage Bags

5. Buying shoes made with 100% Recycled Collar & Tongue Lining, 70% Recycled Insole Board, & Water Based Cement.

6. No more bottled Water, we have purchased water filters and reusable water bottles for our entire family.

7. Shortening showers, shutting off lights, not letting the water run while brushing.

8. Spreading the Word.

These are just a a few of the things we have done to help save the planet and will continue to do a little more each day.

Dust Your Lightbulbs!!

Did you know that dusty lightbulbs use more energy than clean ones?

This is a simple tip that we all can do, one that takes very little time. Dusting your lightbulbs not only saves energy, but also helps reduce allergens. A heavy coat of dust on a light bulb can block up to half of the light.

Charge It !!!

Do You Use A Digital Camera or Handheld Games??

Then you probably go through a lot of disposable batteries, if you dispose of them in the trash they go to a landfill where they leak toxis and contaminate the ground.

Try using rechargeable batteries, they may cost more in the beginning but they will save you time and money in the end. You can keep recharging them over and over and if you keep an extra set you will always have a spare. Some say that rechargeable batteries give you more power than the throw-away kind..
