Winter Tips:

Heating Your Home.........

Don’t feel guilty about heating your home, but do take action to save on the utilities. One of the best ways to save on the heat is to install a digital programmable thermostat. Once set, the digital thermostat will regulate the indoor temperature of a given room, based on usage. If you’re gone all day, no need to keep the heat up high, especially during the day when the sun is on the clock.

If you feel a draft coming from under the doors or windows, there’s a fun solution for that, too. Dodge the draft by creating ways to stop drafts and save energy by placing a rolled towel at the base of the door where the draft is coming through. This will stop cold air from flowing into the room and reduce the amount of energy you need to stay warm. Drafts can account for anywhere from 5 percent to 30 percent of your home's energy consumption. That's wasted energy and wasted money.
